About Heron’s Flight
Morgan Everitt, 2025
At Heron’s Flight, compassion and respect are at the heart of everything I do. My work seeks to bridge the gaps created by an overstretched medical system and a society that often fears and avoids death. With both professional and personal experience in end-of-life care, I understand the importance of expertise paired with deep empathy. No one should have to navigate such a vulnerable time feeling isolated or overlooked. My mission is to ensure that you feel seen, supported, and cared for.

About Morgan
My interest in caregiving began with my volunteer work at a nearby nursing home when I was in 8th grade (I was super cool). Bonding with the residents there was life changing.
My next 20 years were filled with both volunteer and professional work as a caregiver for several different types of populations. Some of the incredible groups I have worked with include cognitively and physically disabled kids and teens, inner-city pre-schools, elementary school students, and lots of time with the elderly. However, it wasn’t until I came home to help my mom through her terminal illness in 2015 that I realized my real passion lay in working with those at the end of life. While simultaneously working as an artist in NYC, I continued caregiving for the elderly, doing my end of life doula studies, and volunteer work. Devoting my time to learning as much as I can about helping people navigate such a difficult and vulnerable period, I work hard to change our society’s fear of death. I moved to Bucks County in 2023, and I love my work as an end of life doula. I feel incredibly honored to help walk people home.

Behind the Name Heron’s Flight
My mother is buried on a hill that overlooks a creek. At the very beginning of her funeral service, I noticed a beautiful heron soar down and settle in, as if standing watch. Being that the funeral was such a devastating and surreal (yet so real) experience, I took comfort in the calm presence of that heron. As soon as the service concluded, the heron opened her wings and took off into the sky. Her flight was so elegant, confident, and peaceful. Since then, herons show up right when I need them most.
